Singers are disrespecting women in every way. Singers are writing lyrics where they just take black women as hos, bitches, and sluts. They get judged by the color of their skyn. A law student complained about a song that had been released by Nelly. His songs lyrics had words that offended black women. Taking them as prostitutes. I think that it is really unfair if anyone on the streets offfends a women walking by, so i think that it makes it worse if they get offended by a person they admire or like their music.Nobody shoud judje by appeariance of someone else, judje for what they really are; inoccents.

In this article I read, it talked about how some music can make teenagers do violent things. In this article they said that they don't believe that voilent lyrics don't make people do anything that the song talks about. They even say that most people don't even know the words to their favorite song which just further proves that violent lyrics don't make people do violent thing. You would think that they would be talking about rap but they talked about of kinds of music like rock, metal, death metal, rap, gangster rap, country music. All kind of music that would have lyrics; so they say that no matter how violent the lyrics sound they will not do violent things just because of a song.
I agree with the claims that they are making and believe that older people should stop think that music is the reason that people do violent things. At the end of the day it just words in our music, but it doesn't mean we are going to do anything else but listen to it.
I believe that for this person to write about this, is to show people that think violent lyrics are a bad because we are going to do something violent. This is just a article to show them that music is just music.

Bob Marleys "Get up Stand Up" is connected to youth culture through its lyrics. When he says "You can fool some people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time, and now you see the light stand up for your right." this lyric would appeal to the younger generation because it represents rebellion, and standing out against the system. "But if you know what life is worth, you would look for yours on earth" This means that you shouldnt spend time looking for something thats not there, instead you should be enjoying life. This song represents a lot of what youth culture stands for, and in that way it is connected.

Intro
Music and youth culture is important to youth because people listen to music all the time now. Music is mostly connected to outsiders in America. Musicians feel like outsiders and thats how they make up their music and they write theirs songs lyrics. Music is part of every ones lives. If music wasnt here then the world would be black and white, because it would feel boring and you wouldn't have anything that would make your day bright. People might not know this or just dont want to believe it but music accually realeses strees from you. Music allows you to relax and feel happy. We focus our project on Bob Marlyn because he has influenced many generations of young people with his music. By listening to music outsiders connect themselves to others because they know how they feel like. If they listen to the same type of music then maybe they feel the same way and they just want to make friends and be more soccial and thats a way that they can start.
"Catch a Fire" by Tomithy White, was a very detailed book about Bob Marley's life from the begin to end. It starts from the early beginning of his childhood all the way down to the end of his life. Bob marley represents music and youth culture because his music effected a lot of people. His music always had a strong message and people love him for it. There was a rumor going around that Bob Marley didn't die but was killed by the government.
